Carisoma must not be taken if you are allergic to carisoprodol or meprobamate (Equanil, Miltown). Inform your doctor if you have porphyria, epilepsy or other seizure disorders, liver disease or kidney disease. Carisoma should not be given to a child younger than 16. It may also be harmful to an unborn infant or if it passes through breast milk therefore consult with your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant during treatment.

HOW TO TAKE CARISOMA
Carisoma should be taken exactly as prescribed. Do not use Carisoma unless it has been prescribed to you and do not alter doses or frequency of doses. Each dose should be taken with a full glass of water. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for the next scheduled dose, skip the missed one completely and resume as normal. Double dosing is not encouraged at all. Side effects that are not as grave may include dizziness, drowsiness, tremors, depression, headache, feeling irritable, blurred vision, insomnia, vomiting, hiccups, nausea and upset stomach.
